There is a place to start, whatever your situation. You do not need a licence, school credits, or a polished resume to begin. Build a plan and remove barriers
Together we sort out ID, credits, a licence, or childcare, and match you to training that fits.

Train and move into work
Complete your training, then move into a real job with our connections and support as you settle in.

Find your local Service Provider
An LDM is the local office most jobseekers work with day to day. Find yours by Nation or region.
There are nine LDMs across the 12 Nations. Your LDM knows your community and what is running near you. If you are not sure which one is yours, contact us and we will point you to the right place.

Programs grouped by who they serve, everyone looking for work, youth and students, people living with a disability, people leaving incarceration, and people starting a business, and by what they lead to: trades, water operations, early childhood education, driving and equipment tickets, and more. A core set of supports runs across every group, including training, wage subsidies for employers who hire you, help relocating for a job, and partnerships that create new openings. You reach all of it through your LDM.

“I am an Operator-in-training working at the Belleville Water Treatment Plant, which provides Belleville with clean drinking water. I started out with only classroom knowledge of how treatment processes work, but now I’m confidently helping my coworkers operate the plant. This opportunity came about because ALFDC connected me with, and facilitated an opportunity for the City of Belleville to bring me on as an intern. ALFDC’s support has given me training opportunities and the chance to explore water treatment as a career, while also allowing the operators at the BWTP to get to know me. I’m hopeful that the experience and skills I’ve gained will help me secure a long term role with the City, where I can continue to expand my knowledge of water treatment.”
